2nd and 3rd shifts needs- must have experience with HVAC, electrical, welding, and overall maintenance
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/MAJOR DUTIES
- Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
- Performs scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown. Troubleshoots (when necessary). Repairs/replaces worn/defective parts, motors, control devices, etc.
- Operates machine shop equipment, hand tools, power hand tools, and makes required parts when necessary.
- Position may be responsible for operating the facility metal detector(s). For this job responsibility, operator must be fully trained.
- Position may be responsible for performing duties in compliance with the Company’s HACCP Plan. For this responsibility, individuals must be HACCP Trained by the Facility’s HACCP Coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must meet/maintain CDC food handling requirements and other government and/or customer requirements.
- Ability to meet FDA guidelines of public safety for work in a food production environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs,etc. Ability to wear and use approved, applicable safety equipment (i.e., respirators), as needed.
- Ability to research, ascertain, implement, and monitor required policies and procedures.
- Must complete and maintain approved First Aid / CPR Training.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures from below freezing to upwards of 120 degrees.
DESIRED EDUCATION
- Veteran status OR
- Min. of 45 college credits OR
- Vocational training with certificate of completion OR
- Completion of the AIB correspondence course OR
- Two (2) or more years as industrial maintenance repair and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
