Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: West Chester, Ohio
Pay Rate: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the West Chester area to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a long-term position with the potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience handling invoice processing, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for payment
- Verify invoice information and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained
- Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
- Process vendor payments through checks, ACH, and electronic payment methods
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiries
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for all transactions
- Assist with month-end activities, including account reconciliations and reporting
- Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
- Support the accounting department with administrative and financial projects
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies while maintaining data accuracy
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of accounts payable, accounting support, or bookkeeping experience
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience in a high-volume invoice processing environment is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework is a plus
