Job Summary
We are seeking professional, dependable, proactive bilingual medical assistants with their own transportation who can directly support clinicians and manage the office workflow in multiple locations.
The ideal candidate must be professional with proven excellent customer service/patient care skills and strong time management skills with the ability to multitask.
· Full time- 8 hour day shift
· Monday-Friday with overtime opportunities, some Saturday availability

Responsibilities
- Patient medical chart preparation to include obtaining and recording patient vitals, medication refills, lab results, and orders, uploading study results, receive/request medical records, pre-op clearance.
- Check-in patients, collect and document co-pays, collect intake forms, room patients, obtain EKG's, update demographic/insurance information.
- Schedule follow up appointments, cardiac studies, procedures, collaborate with various internal departments for schedule coordination and insurance eligibility.
- Answer inbound calls, effectively manage incoming emails and voicemails, communicate with clinicians and other medical staff on a daily basis by email and other approved methods.
- Knowledge of medical records processing to include requesting, receiving, organizing and submitting with other healthcare providers, facilities, patients and insurance carriers.
- Cleaning and disinfecting equipment and environment.
- Assist with special projects and administrative duties as assigned.
- This position involves extended periods of seated work, bending, repetitive motions, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying loads of up to 50 pounds. As well as tasks such as answering phone calls, repetitive typing, repetitive mouse movements, looking at a computer screen and other electronic devices for a long period of time. This position also involves various neck movements, pulling, pushing, and reaching. This position involves the use of basic office equipment like a computer, scanner, printer, etc. This position also includes standing and walking for a long period of time.
Required Qualifications
· Bilingual in English and Spanish.
· Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Certificate of completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program (for Medical Assistant positions).
· Minimum 2 years of medical office experience.
· Ability to type 35 WPM, have working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
· Must have own transportation.
Must be able to work within a team environment.
· Understand and comply with HIPAA, maintain confidentiality.
· Be very organized and able to multi-task.
· Maintain professionalism, respectful positive attitude at all times
· Be punctual and follow attendance policies
Preferred Qualifications
· Associate Degree

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
