Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform system troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on existing HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems associated with HVAC units, including wiring and control systems
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other mechanical tools to repair or modify mechanical systems
- Read and interpret schematics, building automation systems, and technical manuals to accurately install or service equipment
- Diagnose refrigeration issues and repair ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system operations, maintenance tips, and addressing client concerns professionally
Experience
- Proven construction experience with familiarity in mechanical systems installation and property maintenance
- Service technician experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, or installation in residential settings
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation systems
- Hands-on experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems including boilers and air conditioning units
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely
- Additional skills in welding, electrical diagnostics, or property maintenance are advantageous
