QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) Valid Alabama Teaching Certificate
(2) Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree desired
(3) Background check that meets requirements
(4) Three references
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of and ability to coordinate the implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment programs in the after-school environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with program teachers, administrators, and staff
Ability to supervise site instructors and monitor student achievement
Effective oral and written communication skills
Positive relationships with families and stakeholders
Ability to physically and emotionally fulfill the job requirements
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plan and design the program to help all assigned students meet the subgrant objectives
2. Collaborate with all site instructors to ensure continuity of instruction to close gaps
3. Compile and submit program reports
4. Analyze student and program data for sharing with stakeholders
5. Conduct data meetings with program staff, conduct program and family training sessions
6. Distribute required material and information to program staff, students, and parents
7. Attend all required training and professional development
8. Develop and monitor lesson plans that coordinate with the program’s goals & objectives
9. Monitor and report student attendance
10. Utilize pre- and post- assessment data to inform instruction
11. Performs other duties as assigned by the program director
