Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing concrete and flooring projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution. The role involves managing the project lifecycle, from planning, purchasing, and budgeting to completion, while ensuring all safety, quality, and regulatory standards are met. The Project Manager will function as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the project.
Responsibilities
Lead, Manage, Accountability: Lead and manage the operations Team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Create (with HR) Professional Growth Plans as needed. Establish clear KPIs and performance standards for team members. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct regular safety training sessions
Project Planning & Execution: Ensure contracts, change orders, and subcontracts are accurate and executed to facilitate project start dates and regular payment schedules. Maintain a 48-hour average turnaround time for reviewing and signing contracts, change orders and issuing subcontracts. Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, timelines, and resource allocation. Purchase materials in a timely manner to ensure effective project execution. Ensure projects are executed according to schedule and within budget. Maintain thorough project documentation and ensure a smooth closeout process including punch lists, warranties, and final handoffs.
Resource & Team Management: Oversee labor, materials, and equipment allocation. Manage subcontractors and project teams to ensure efficient performance and quality.
Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors ensuring clear and consistent communication. Provide timely updates on project status, milestones, risks, and changes.
Quality Control & Compliance: Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local regulations). Ensure adherence to project specifications for both concrete and flooring installations. AUA (Apprenticeship Utilization Act) reporting and tracking.
Cost Management & Budget Oversight: Track project expenses and ensure financial targets are met. Address any cost overruns promptly and implement corrective actions. Process and enter all change orders and project information in ComputerEase to align projects and billing schedules within 24 hours of receipt. Coordinate with Project Managers and General Contractors to ensure we do proper scope within the contract. Additional and/or extra work require Change Orders
Risk & Problem Management: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks. Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project’s lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction management or related roles with a strong background in project coordination on large-scale projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site operations, blueprint reading, and interpreting schematics.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as ProCore, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strict time management discipline.
- Hands-on experience with contracts negotiation, construction estimating, and project scheduling best practices.
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams including engineers (<PERSON>), architects, contractors, and clients. Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
