Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance for a wide range of general dentistry procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before appointments
- Take digital X-rays and impressions
- Follow sterilization and infection-control protocols
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment rooms
- Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for
- Anticipate the doctor’s needs and support an efficient clinical workflow
- Assist with supply management and other clinical responsibilities as needed
- Communicate professionally with patients and fellow team members
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience strongly preferred
- Current New Jersey dental X-ray license
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Calm and professional in a busy clinical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable learning new systems and receiving constructive feedback
- Genuine interest in finding a stable, long-term position
Compensation and Benefits
- $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience, clinical skills, and credentials
