Job Summary
My Therapy Kids is seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services across various settings, including schools, clinics, and telehealth platforms. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help children and individuals with disabilities improve their communication skills, foster language development, and enhance their overall quality of life. Rate: $40-45 (depending on experience) per 30 min session.
Locations: The Woodlands, Conroe, Spring, Cypress.
Active caseload in The Woodlands, Conroe area.
Duties
- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans for clients with speech and language disorders
- Support children and students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and early intervention requirements
- Conduct speech therapy activities under supervision, focusing on child language development and phonological skills
- Support clients in practicing communication strategies during sessions, including telehealth therapy when applicable
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as educators, occupational therapists, and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and client records in accordance with organizational policies
- Help prepare therapy materials and assist in creating engaging activities tailored to each client’s needs
Skills
- Prior experience working with children with disabilities in Home Health setting
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology
- Familiarity with speech disorders support including articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders
- Ability to implement speech-language therapy plans effectively across different environments such as schools or telehealth platforms
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse populations effectively
- Understanding of early intervention practices, IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes, and pediatrics-related therapies
