We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Preschool Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. As a Preschool Floater, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for young learners by providing flexible classroom support across various preschool settings. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lesson implementation, and classroom management to promote an engaging learning environment.
- Support children’s development through individualized attention, encouraging social skills, literacy, math, and other foundational concepts.
- Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs such as autism or disabilities.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment following health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with staff on curriculum development and lesson planning that aligns with educational standards like Montessori or other pedagogical approaches.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a positive and supportive atmosphere.
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, behavior management, special education strategies, and inclusive practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings; private school experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with curriculum development.
- Excellent communication skills to engage children positively and collaborate with colleagues and families.
- Classroom management skills that foster a respectful and productive learning environment.
