Responsibilities
- Assemble complex medical devices using hand tools, soldering equipment, and plastics injection molding processes according to detailed technical drawings and specifications
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately to ensure precise component placement and assembly
- Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and maintain strict quality standards in accordance with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and GMP guidelines
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, identifying and addressing any deviations or defects in compliance with quality assurance protocols
- Follow cleanroom protocols and maintain sterile environments during assembly, packaging, and inspection activities
- Operate hand tools and mechanical assembly equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety procedures and protocols
- Support packaging processes for finished products, ensuring proper labeling and documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance
Skills
- Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers for precise dimension verification
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485 standards, FDA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements for biomedical manufacturing
- Experience with biomedical manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding, soldering, mechanical assembly, and quality inspection
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and small machinery in a cleanroom setting
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols, sterile procedures, and packaging standards within medical device manufacturing
- Previous quality assurance experience within manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of biomedical device components such as plastics parts, electronic assemblies, and precision instruments
