Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT

Job Type: Travel / Temporary
Contract: 13 weeks with possible extension
Pay: $1950 to $2250 for Travelers
Pay for Local Candidate- $39 to $45 hourly
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide specialized respiratory care to patients across various clinical settings, including hospitals, emergency departments, intensive care units, neonatal and pediatric units, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will support patient recovery and stability through advanced respiratory therapy techniques, ventilator management, airway management, and emergency response. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and respiratory devices, ensuring high-quality patient care in diverse environments.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide respiratory therapies based on physician orders and patient assessments.
- Perform diagnostic testing, including pulmonary function measurements.
- Administer aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy.
- Provide CPAP and BiPAP therapies.
- Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
- Educate patients regarding respiratory and cardiopulmonary care.
Requirements
- 2+ years of RRT experience – Required
- Travel experience – Preferred
- Active Michigan Respiratory Therapist license at time of submission
Certifications Required
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- NBRC
- NRP
