Duties
- Assess patients’ physical conditions through comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans that align with individual needs and goals
- Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, behavioral modifications, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine techniques when applicable
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote consultations, follow-up care, and patient education, ensuring accessibility for all community members
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to document patient progress, treatment adjustments, and clinical notes accurately and securely
- Educate patients on injury prevention, self-care strategies, and behavioral interventions to promote long-term wellness
- Communicate clearly with clients about their treatment plans, progress milestones, and recovery expectations to foster trust and engagement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes in diverse settings
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction with current certification to practice
- Proven experience working with culturally diverse communities to deliver inclusive patient care
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices and conditions
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), with ongoing commitment to safety standards
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for efficient documentation
- Experience in wound care management and hyperbaric medicine is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong client communication skills combined with the ability to explain complex treatments clearly and empathetically
