Beautiful residential area, Senior Housing/ Assisted Living building located in Palisades, NY looking for a Working Chef to inspire resident meals.
Responsibilities:
Creating/preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents under the direction of the Regional Food Services Director.
Ensure all meals made follow the recipes provided by Amber Court Assisted Living.
Food handler’s license/certification preferred.
Preference given to those with Adult Care Facility experience.
Salary range based on culinary experience and working with a residential senior population.
Preferred 1 year of cooking experience.
Lead a diverse kitchen team in a fast-paced environment, while promoting collaboration and respect amongst staff from varied backgrounds. Utilize emotional awareness to maintain a positive work atmosphere, effectively manage a team and support department morale during high-pressure service times.
Hours: 10am - 6pm.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Requires frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
Exposure to hot surfaces, open flames, and sharp utensils.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, including walk-in refrigerators/freezers and warm kitchens.
Work schedule may include weekends, holidays, and early morning or evening shifts based on resident needs.
