Community First School is looking for a few dedicated and energetic Full Time teacher assistant to join our CFS family. We are mainly looking for applicants for the Infant program. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting classroom teachers and creating a nurturing environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm, patience, and commitment to early childhood development will help foster a positive learning experience for children at various stages of growth. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs
- Support children with their individual learning goals, including those requiring special education or additional support
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes active learning and engagement
- Provide attentive supervision during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to ensure safety and behavior management
- Support with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed
- Participate in classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among students
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor children's progress and communicate observations effectively
- Assist in documenting developmental milestones and maintaining accurate records of daily activities
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infant age children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Must have some ECE unit or willing to obtain some immediately after hire.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle behavioral challenges positively
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
This is a FULL TIME position and hours may varies from 7:30am-6:00pm.
Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
