Under broad guidance, the Director of Accounting is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing HRSD's Accounting Department and ensuring the integrity of the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial management systems. The Director oversees the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), supports the annual budget process, and ensures compliance with accounting standards, laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. The Director fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while developing and supporting staff.
