Kirby Bates Associates—one of the nation’s premier healthcare executive search firms—is partnering with a California-based health system to identify an experienced Interim Director of Surgical Services for a high-impact leadership opportunity.
This is a hands-on, visible leadership role for a proven perioperative leader who can quickly assess and optimize operations across a dynamic surgical platform.
The Interim Director will provide end-to-end leadership across Surgical Services, including:
- Operating Room (OR)
- PACU
- Same-Day Surgery (SSU)
- Pre-Admission Testing (PAT)
- Endoscopy
- Interventional Radiology
This leader will play a critical role in driving performance, strengthening team engagement, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across all procedural areas.
Requirements:
- BSN required
- Active California RN license required (non-compact state)
- Progressive leadership experience in Surgical Services
- Experience working in a unionized environment
This opportunity offers an attractive compensation package, including housing, transportation, and regular travel home.
The pay rate for this position is $900 per day ($234,000 annually).
