Join our dynamic team as a Roofing Laborer and be a vital part of delivering high-quality roofing projects! In this energetic role, you will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems, including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and more. Your hands-on skills and commitment to safety will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your construction expertise while working outdoors on diverse job sites.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Set up ladders safely and securely for roof access, adhering to all construction safety harnesses and safety protocol regulations.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to support accurate installation and repairs.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, siding, and other roofing components.
- Use construction plans to guide the installation of roofing, siding, stucco, masonry, or framing projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all construction workplace safety regulations.
- Support other trades such as carpentry, drywall framing, plumbing, or masonry as needed for restoration or remodeling projects.
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades such as siding installation or tile laying.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Knowledge of construction safety harnesses, ladder use, and adherence to construction workplace safety regulations.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment effectively.
- Basic understanding of roofing materials including metal roofing and single-ply membrane systems.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail; previous handyman or framing experience is a plus.
