Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Tandoor Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoor-based dishes, including bread, meats, vegetables, and specialty items with precision and flair
- Operate and maintain tandoor ovens, ensuring optimal temperature control and safety standards
- Develop and execute menu items that highlight authentic flavors while adhering to quality standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and presentation for dine-in, catering, or special events
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new recipes or variations based on seasonal ingredients or customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tandoor station and surrounding work areas
Skills
- Proven experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within food service environments
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on Indian cuisine or fine dining establishments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including grilling, baking, and traditional tandoor methods
- Excellent knife skills for precise ingredient prep and garnishing
- Demonstrated ability to handle food safely and hygienically in high-volume settings
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, food handling regulations, and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
