About the Role
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a key leadership role in ensuring the hotel operates efficiently, delivers exceptional guest experiences, and maintains strong financial performance. This position supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading department teams, upholding brand standards, and fostering a positive, service‑driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Guest Services.
- Lead, coach, and develop department managers and hourly team members to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor to support guest interactions, resolve issues, and ensure service excellence.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and cost‑control initiatives to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management processes.
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Support property inspections, preventive maintenance planning, and facility upkeep.
- Serve as Manager‑on‑Duty (MOD) as scheduled, responding to emergencies and operational needs.
- Build strong relationships with guests, team members, vendors, and community partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 3 years of hotel operations experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with hotel PMS systems preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive, guest‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
