We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment care equipment to process linens and clothing efficiently.
- Handle materials with care, including sorting, folding, pressing, and packaging textiles according to established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all laundry areas, including the use of appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents.
- Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport heavy loads safely around the facility.
- Follow safety standards in production by adhering to safety protocols for manual handling, heavy lifting, and equipment operation.
- Assist with special laundry services such as dry cleaning or textile restoration as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests and ensuring timely delivery of clean linens or garments.
Requirements
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and understanding operational instructions.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards in production environments.
- Familiarity with garment care machines, industrial dryers, and textile cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during laundry procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service.
