American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with an active Ohio license and minimum 2 years of experience for a hospital Radiation Oncology department, working Monday–Friday day shifts with no weekends or call.

Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology (Cancer Care) department

Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm shift schedule

No weekend or on-call requirements

Uses TrueBeam equipment; experience preferred

Uses Aria for electronic medical records; experience preferred

Active State of Ohio Radiation Therapist license required; license required if applicable

Current ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required

Current BLS/BCLS certification required

Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience required

Associate's degree in radiography with radiation therapy certification required; Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy preferred

Graduate of a JRCERT-approved program

Ability to perform medium-level physical work, including exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently

Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments using radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established standards

Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, and monitor patients for unusual reactions during treatment

Verify prescriptions, diagnoses, charts, and patient identification to ensure accurate treatment delivery

Coordinate with physicists at treatment initiation and collaborate with supportive care physicians, nurses, and social workers

Prepare and position patients for treatment, including those with catheters, IVs, oxygen, or other life support equipment
-
Prepare and maintain required electronic and written documentation including treatment plans and progress reports

Reinforce physician and care team recommendations to patients regarding treatment reactions and side effects

Perform verification and port film exposures for treated areas and implement physician-directed corrections
