Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to assist in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and rehabilitation techniques.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patient care, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients returning home or to other care settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and relevant treatment techniques.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential; familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- Experience in various settings such as inpatient, outpatient clinics, home health, pediatrics, or acute care is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and empathy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities.
