We're currently looking to add a hardworking Machine Operator and Laborer to join our first-shift team in Newark, NY.
Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $18 per hour - $20 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machines to cut ceramic fiber board per drawings and work orders
- Use measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, squares) in both imperial and metric
- Monitor runs and make minor offsets/adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety and PPE requirements
- Communicate quality, material, or equipment issues to supervision promptly
Requirements
- Proficiency reading measurements in standard (imperial) and metric units
- Experience operating CNC machines (router/mill) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Able to read basic shop drawings and follow work instructions
- Comfortable working with insulation materials; PPE provided (can be itchy)
- Respirator required; must be able to wear one and pass fit testing
- Basic computer skills for machine interface and data entry
- Steel-toe boots required
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Must be dependable and ready to work in a hands-on environment; able to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as needed
