The Service Dispatcher is tasked with guaranteeing the very Mission of Signal Service to provide quality security services to businesses and homes in a friendly, professional manner. The challenge of this position is to transform the service department culturally for positive subscriber experience. The Service Dispatcher partners with staff and senior technicians to innovate and refine policies, procedures and guidelines for greater efficiency and to better anticipate subscriber needs.
Live Time Scheduling
- Decide effective allocation of resources (service technicians) across service tickets by time, location and need level
- Match Technician vs Problem Codes “Expertise Levels”.
- Monitor all check-in calls from field personnel
- Monitor check-out calls from field personnel
- Provide signal confirmation when applicable
- Advise live time billing information to technicians on-site and create an invoice
- Establish realistic subscriber expectations for arrival times and monitor Tech’s workday to meet those expectations, or to update as needed.
Incoming Service Requests
- Field incoming customer calls and notices, defining needs (activated alarm, service, requested additions)
- Generate service ticket and advise customer of schedule
- Identify and refer non-technician issues to sales staff
Service Backlog Report
- Track all open tickets Service Ticket Queue
- Sort and review Service Backlog chronologically and by priority in order effectively resolve service issues
Inventory
- Assign Parts to Service Tickets, Transfer inventory into correct warehouse, ensure technician has appropriate part
Service On-Call Calendar
- Create, maintain and distribute On-Call Calendar to Technicians and Central Station.
Staff Meetings
Attend Weekly Staff Meetings to report on status of service tickets, discuss any issues, and ensure backlog is no longer than 90 days.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
