St. John's East – Your Neighborhood Church is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Next Generation & Community Outreach Minister to serve as our Minister of Outreach, helping us build meaningful connections with young families, children, teenagers, and young adults throughout our community.
This is not primarily a preaching position. It is a ministry of relationships, outreach, and vision—helping people who may never have considered attending church discover a welcoming place to belong, grow in their faith, and become part of a caring church family.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a strong, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and faithfully live out their Christian faith every day.
Have a solid biblical foundation with the ability to teach and preach God's Word in a clear, engaging, and relevant way.
Relate well to children, teenagers, young adults, and young families while building authentic, Christ-centered relationships.
Be comfortable using technology and social media to effectively communicate and connect with today's generation.
Be a self-motivated servant leader with a passion for outreach, community engagement, and helping the church grow.
Responsibilities
The Minister of Outreach will:
- Build relationships with young families throughout our community.
- Develop creative outreach opportunities that attract children, teens, parents, and young adults.
- Create partnerships with local schools, youth organizations, businesses, and neighborhood groups.
- Plan family-friendly events such as movie nights, game nights, cookouts, holiday celebrations, parenting workshops, community service projects, and seasonal events.
- Welcome first-time guests and help them become connected within the life of the church.
- Recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers who have a passion for serving children, youth, and families.
- Work alongside church leadership to develop innovative strategies for church growth.
- Utilize social media and digital communication to effectively engage younger generations.

Pay: $20,000.00 - $22,500.00 per year
