NRG Management is a growing healthcare organization supporting substance abuse and mental health treatment centers across multiple states. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage provider credentialing and payer contracting processes while supporting organizational growth.
Position Overview
The Provider Credentialing & Contracting Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the full credentialing lifecycle, maintaining provider compliance, and managing payer relationships and contracts. This role plays a key part in ensuring providers are properly credentialed, enrolled, and aligned with all payer requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging for medical staff

Maintain provider profiles within CAQH, PECOS, and NPI registries

Ensure all provider documentation is current, including state licenses, DEA/CSR certificates, malpractice insurance, and related credentials

Track and manage license and certification expirations to ensure timely renewals

Partner with Billing to ensure providers are correctly linked to payer contracts

Maintain accurate provider demographic information with all payers

Audit health plan directories to ensure accurate provider listings

Support the development, negotiation, and implementation of payer contracts

Participate in new business initiatives, acquisitions, and facility expansions

Assist in contract strategy and negotiations, including rates and contract terms

Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party payers

Coordinate internal implementation of executed contracts and communicate updates

Review RFPs, bids, and contract modifications; prepare responses as needed
Qualifications

2+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing, provider enrollment, or payer contracting
-
Strong knowledge of CAQH, PECOS, and NPI processes

Experience working with insurance payers and provider contracts

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Degree in Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience preferred

3 years of job-related work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
