Willow Foundation operates four programs across Luzerne and Carbon counties: Heartwood Center, a daytime drop-in shelter in Hazleton; Alderwood Center, a community resource center in Lehighton; Willow Counseling, outpatient mental health services in Wilkes-Barre; and Rooted Writers, a journaling-based prevention program on college campuses and in community settings.
The Operations & Implementation Manager exists to ensure that Willow's standards become Willow's everyday practice across every site. Working directly with the CEO, this role turns organizational decisions into consistent operations across every program.
No two days are identical. The work might include implementing operational standards and then reinforcing them until they become routine; identifying where staff need additional training, clearer expectations, or stronger systems; following operational initiatives from idea through implementation; coordinating across sites so Willow functions as one organization rather than four separate programs; and maintaining an operating environment that reflects Willow's values.
Role expectations
The Operations & Implementation Manager takes real satisfaction in the details of how a site supports staff, and how staff support members and participants.
You notice when practice begins to drift from intention. You understand that most operational problems are not people problems — they are communication problems, workflow problems, training problems, or systems that no longer support the work.
You are comfortable being present on site, participating in staff workflows, coaching someone through a process, or helping a supervisor reinforce an operational expectation. You know that consistency comes from clear systems, reinforcement, and follow-through.
