We are seeking a skilled Tooling Technician to optimize our production processes. In this role, you will be instrumental in setting up and maintaining roll-fed and inline equipment, ensuring efficient operations. Your expertise in mechanical maintenance and process improvement will drive our manufacturing success.
- Configure and optimize roll-fed and inline equipment within established timeframes using specified materials.
- Mentor less experienced operators, providing guidance on safe setup and operational procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of machine training manuals and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Conduct routine mechanical maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks on machinery.
- Collaborate on tool improvements and modifications to enhance production efficiency.
- Work with sales and tool design teams to ensure new tools are designed for optimal performance on existing equipment.
- Partner with process engineers, team leads, maintenance staff, operators, and packers to minimize setup times, maximize production efficiency, and reduce scrap.
- Adjust machinery as needed during tooling setup to maintain production standards.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic/technician/tooling specialist in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance and repair skills.
- Commitment to safety and continuous learning and development.
- Electrical training/experience with 480V 3-phase power and machine controls.
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) such as Fanuc, Allen Bradley, or Siemens.
- Background in manufacturing methods and process improvement programs.
- Experience operating forklift equipment.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Satisfactory completion of training courses as determined by management.
