The Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Behavior Technician works directly with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities to help improve communication, social skills, daily living skills, academic readiness, and behavior management.
The BT plays a critical role in helping clients reach meaningful goals that improve their quality of life while maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy is an evidence-based treatment that focuses on understanding and improving behaviors that are important to a child's development and independence. ABA uses positive reinforcement and scientifically proven teaching strategies to help children learn new skills and reduce behaviors that interfere with learning and daily functioning.
