Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable furniture delivery personnel to join our team, a two person team could work. This is a flexiable part time position with the possibility of growth. As a Mover, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' belongings are transported safely and efficiently. This position requires physical stamina, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading items, driving vehicles, and providing exceptional service to our customers during their moving experience.
Duties
- Load and unload items from trucks and other vehicles with care to prevent damage.
- Drive box trucks or other vehicles to transport goods between locations.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their needs.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed for moving heavy items.
- Assist in packing and unpacking items, ensuring they are secured for transport.
- Perform heavy lifting of furniture, appliances, and other large items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or moving area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during moves.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in commercial driving is a plus; valid driver's license required.
- Familiarity with driving box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience is beneficial for route navigation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Skills in moving techniques to ensure the safe handling of items.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
