Reports To: Claims Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for the processing and disposition of all general liability, property, auto and third party bodily injury claims.

Risk Management:
- Work with Claims Manager to help identify adverse trends and mitigate exposures.
- Continues to review Company’s claim processes to improve efficiencies.
Claim Processing:
- Processing of all general liability, property and auto claims, including conducting an investigation, paying or denying claims, and reporting accidents to the insurance carrier.
- Work with insurance carrier to manage claims and bring to resolution.
- Updates and maintains claims database and generates various reports.
- Provides administrative support to Safety Department.
- Initial accident investigation and coverage verification.
- Reviewing facts and merits of claims.
- May negotiate settlements.
- Requesting supporting documents from the claimants.
- Review and validate claims with knowledge, experience, research and communication with internal and external parties.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and strong computer literacy.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Relevant experience, education, certification, knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, high school diploma required.
- Minimum 5 years of General Liability Claim experience.
- Multi-state GL experiences a plus.
- Must be highly detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Willingness to continue education to keep apprised of latest industry statutory laws and trends.
- Proven leadership ability in a high performance culture.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus, communicate effectively, engage others in the required processes and hold people accountable.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
