We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and catering options.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the dietary department.
Skills
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or fine dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with menu planning and catering services is a plus.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen equipment.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences.
Open 7 days a week. Guaranteed 2 days off minimum, generally in succession. ServSafe preferred. Will reimburse for course if needed, pay review after 60 days.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
