Spanish-Speaking Infant Nanny – Tenleytown, DC
TO BE CONSIDERED: Fluent/Highly Proficient Spanish Speaker, 2+ Years of Professional Infant Nanny Experience
Children: 1 Infant Boy (approximately 6 months old at start)
Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm | Occasional weekends and date nights as needed
Start Date: September 14
About the Family/Role
Warm, loving family seeking a nurturing, detail-oriented, and highly communicative nanny to care for their infant son. Parents are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting infant development and creating enriching, engaging experiences throughout the day. Dad is a native Spanish speaker and Mom also speaks Spanish, so the family would love for their nanny to primarily speak Spanish with their son and naturally incorporate the language into daily routines, play, and communication. Both parents work full-time, with Dad working from the office daily and Mom splitting time between home and the office. The family has one friendly Labrador Retriever and employs a regular dog walker. No travel is required at this time. Family vehicle available for on-the-job driving if needed.
Responsibilities
- Full care for infant son
- Maintain infant schedules, routines, and developmental milestones
- Bottle preparation, cleaning, and sanitation
- Baby meal preparation and introduction of solids as appropriate
- Screen-free activities, outings, and enrichment
- Reading, walks, library visits, parks, classes, and museum outings
- Children’s laundry
- Kitchen tidying and organization
- Light household tidying and organization
- Taking out garbage and occasional errands
- Foster a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment while speaking Spanish throughout the day
Requirements
- Professional nanny experience required
- Strong infant experience required
- Fluent or highly proficient Spanish speaker required
- Strong understanding of infant development and milestones
- Warm, nurturing, detail-oriented, and communicative
- Reliable, proactive, and highly organized
- Comfortable maintaining infant schedules and routines
- Comfortable facilitating enriching, screen-free activities
- Comfortable working collaboratively with work-from-home parents
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent professional references
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Up-to-date on Covid boosters, flu vaccine, Tdap, and MMR vaccines
