Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in a group home setting. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring they receive the care and assistance needed to maintain their independence. The ideal candidate will be patient, reliable, and possess a strong desire to help others.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Help manage behaviors by employing effective behavior management techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
- Support individuals with disabilities by providing specialized care that meets their unique needs.
- Assist with mobility and transportation as required for appointments or social outings.
Skills
- Proven experience in caregiving or home care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques for individuals with special needs.
- Ability to prepare balanced meals while considering dietary restrictions.
- Experience working with people with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others are essential traits for success in this role.
We have full time positions available. Shifts are:
- Split shifts are 6:30-8am PLUS 2:30pm-9pm (8hrs split into two shifts) Monday through Fridays. We try to split these between the team members, giving everyone 1-2 a week, unless otherwise open to more.
- Evening shifts are 3-9pm OR 3-Midnight. We try to split the midnight shifts amongst the team, giving everyone 1-2 unless otherwise open to more.
- Weekends are staffed with 8 or 12hr shifts depending on need.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have High School Diploma or GED
Must have ability to read/write English fluently
Clean criminal history
Reliable transportation and punctuality is a MUST
Must have at least 12 months documented experience working/volunteering in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or childcare setting, OR in working/volunteering with persons who have a developmental disability.

FDLE Level 2 Criminal Background check
