The individual in this role serves as the face of Crater Lake Spirits, delivering exceptional customer service to both retail and industry visitors in the Crater Lake Spirits Tasting Room, located in Bend, Oregon. Their primary responsibility is to educate consumers about the history, craftsmanship, and quality of Crater Lake Spirits, while also supporting retail sales as a secondary function. Reliability and a positive attitude are essential. Must be 21+ to apply. This position receives tips.

Provide product tastings to public and industry guests

Be familiar with each product, manufacturing process, and product category

Must always follow OLCC rules and regulations

Crafting & batching mini cocktails

Maintaining product inventory

Perform retail sales, including processing credit card transactions

Clean glassware and stock other supplies as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required. Experience in a bar or restaurant and/or training in the alcohol industry desired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and calculating tabs; ability to measure and pour accurately, including converting between ounces and milliliters; understanding of ABV/proof calculations; and comfort with simple ratio math for scaling cocktail recipes and tracking inventory or waste.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This is a part-time, position based in Bend, Oregon at the Crater Lake Spirits Tasting Room. The role is hourly and is typically 28 hours per week, Thursday – Monday, but some flexibility may be required.
