Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Front Counter Sales Associate with experience in the low-voltage industry. This position is ideal for someone who understands networking, audio/video, security, and related products and enjoys helping customers find the right solutions.
You will be responsible for assisting customers at our sales counter, processing point-of-sale transactions, answering product questions, preparing orders, and supporting our daily branch operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist walk-in customers and contractors with product selection and sales
- Process sales transactions using our Point of Sale (POS) system
- Answer customer questions regarding networking, audio/video, security, and low-voltage products
- Prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain an organized and professional sales counter
- Work closely with warehouse and sales staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Learn new products and stay current on industry technologies
Qualifications Required
- Experience in the low-voltage industry
- Knowledge of networking equipment, structured cabling, audio/video, or security products
- Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Basic computer skills
- Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system (Clover or similar)
- Basic math skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Preferred
- Experience working in electrical, networking, AV, or security distribution
- Familiarity with inventory systems and warehouse
