Overview
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and other unique needs. You will provide compassionate care and support, assisting clients in their daily activities while fostering independence and dignity. Your commitment to patient care will empower those you work with to thrive in both home and community settings.
What you’ll do
- Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Monitor and document client's vital signs, behaviors, and overall well-being to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to client’s unique needs, promoting their independence and personal growth.
- Provide companionship and engage client in meaningful activities that enhance cognitive stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties and ensuring compliance with health standards.
- Assist with laundry.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to communicate changes in client conditions or needs effectively.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining a respectful environment for client.
- Client uses Hoyer Lift
- Split Shift 8am -11am and back at 6:30 PM -9:30PM
- Client in wheelchair
- MUST BE STRONG ENOUGH TO LIFT CLIENT
- MUST SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH

Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
- Hoyer lift: 1 year (Required)
- Direct support: 1 year (Required)
- Assisting with ADLs: 1 year (Required)
