Position Title: Landscape Construction Manager

Founded by its current owner and built from the ground up, our client operates across multiple Florida markets, serving HOA, CDD, and builder/developer clients with landscape maintenance, construction, and enhancement services. The company is known for its production-driven culture, operational discipline, and ability to execute large-scale install projects on aggressive timelines. With a strong pipeline of signed construction work and continued investment in regional growth, our client is expanding its Orlando branch leadership to support increasing project volume.
Position Overview:
The Landscape Construction Manager is responsible for leading construction installation crews and scheduling enhancements at the company's Orlando branch. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground leadership role responsible for keeping projects on schedule, on budget, and built to standard. The Construction Manager will run 1–2 crews on landscape install projects ranging from $200,000 to $5 million, primarily serving HOA common areas, CDD developments, and builder partners.
This role requires a working manager who can read blueprints, operate equipment when needed, push production, and coordinate material flow across multiple active jobs. The Construction Manager will also oversee enhancement scheduling at the branch, working closely with the existing leadership team to ensure smooth execution from job start to closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 1–2 landscape construction install crews on active projects
- Schedule and oversee enhancement work at the Orlando branch
- Read blueprints, measure and order material, and keep installs on schedule and on budget
- Operate equipment as needed — front-end loaders, backhoes, excavators, Bobcats
- Install trees and plant material alongside crews when required to maintain production
- Coordinate directly with developers and CDD stakeholders on common-area projects
- Manage subcontractor relationships for mulch, plant material/stock, and other outsourced scope
- Use Aspire software for project tracking and reporting (training provided)
- Maintain communication with branch leadership on project status, manpower, and material needs
- Hit installation deadlines including pushing through Florida's summer rainy season on signed backlog
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
- Proven landscape construction or installation management experience
- Hands-on operator capable of running equipment, not just supervising from a truck
- Ability to read blueprints and translate plans into executed installs
- Experience managing crews directly and driving production
- Working knowledge of material takeoffs, scheduling, and jobsite logistics
- Self-motivated, deadline-driven professional comfortable owning a branch's construction execution
- Ability to coordinate with developers, builders, and CDD/HOA stakeholders
Preferred
- Irrigation installation experience or working knowledge
- Hardscape experience (pavers, walls, related scope)
- Familiarity with Aspire or similar landscape management software
- Experience managing installs in the $200K–$5M range
- Prior experience in Florida or comparable Southeast markets
What Does Success Look Like: 12 Month Success Metrics
- Taking the Orlando construction and enhancement workload off the Jacksonville-based manager
- Keeping 1–2 install crews productive and on schedule
- Hitting installation deadlines on signed construction backlog, including summer-season projects
- Maintaining strong jobsite execution and material flow across concurrent projects
- Building reliable coordination with developers and CDD stakeholders
- Establishing the Orlando branch as a self-sufficient construction operation
Comp & Benefits:
- Base: $80,000 – $100,000, with flexibility above for the right senior candidate
