Responsible for developing, managing, and promoting a competitive swim program centered around fun and comradery, while ensuring a safe and well-organized environment for all participants during the summer swim team season (May-August).
Serve as the leader of the coaching staff and represent Farmington Country Club in a professional capacity during practices, meets, and events
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise coaching staff as needed
Oversee swimmer registration; ensure all required forms and documentation are completed, reviewed, and submitted to the Jefferson Swim League (JSL) per league deadlines
Schedule self and staff to attend and manage all designated practices and swim meets
Develop weekly practice plans and athlete progression training modules aimed at tracking and improving swimmer development over time, including, but not limited to, time trials and stroke proficiency, ensuring compliance with meet and league regulations
Communicate weekly practice plans with coaching staff
Ensure the execution of weekly practice plans that foster a positive team culture by motivating swimmers through sportsmanship, safety, and skill development in a fun, engaging, and spirited environment
Supervise and execute all required procedures for home swim meets, including equipment setup and breakdown, volunteer coordination support, and meet data entry
Operate and maintain software programs to include meet lineups, entries, and pre- and post-meet reports with accurate team statistics
Collaborate with Aquatics Coordinator and Swim Team Committee to submit team information for inclusion in the Club communications
Plan, execute, and participate in all team spirit and extra-curricular activities
Attend JSL meetings as required and execute outlined JSL Head Coach responsibilities pre and post meet
Communicate relevant league updates to staff/families
Attend Pool Committee meetings as needed.

Maintain organization of designated storage, office space, and pool deck during practice and swim meets.
Maintain accurate inventory of swim team equipment and supplies
Work closely with parents to plan and evaluate team programs in and out of season
Manage parent communication via Farmington accounts in a timely manner, to include questions, concerns, and conflicts in a professional manner.
Monitor, identify and promptly respond to potential hazards or safety concerns in and around the aquatic environment during practices and meets.
