American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with CVOR experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring the ability to single scrub cardiac cases and cross-scrub in the main OR.

Acute care hospital CVOR unit with additional float coverage to the main OR
-
Patient population includes cardiovascular surgical cases with cross-coverage for ortho, neuro, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and GYN cases

Must be able to single scrub cardiac independently; on lighter cardiac days, coverage in the main OR is expected

Day shift, 10-hour shifts (0630–1700), Thursday off, every other weekend (EOW), with call required

Charting is performed in Cerner

Minimum 2 years of CVOR surgical tech experience required

Ability to single scrub cardiac cases independently

BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted

NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required; pending certifications will not be accepted

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Valid driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

License required if applicable; active state or compact (NLC) licensure required — pending licenses will not be accepted

Single scrub cardiac cases and assist with a broad range of OR specialties including ortho, neuro, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and GYN on lower-volume cardiac days

Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered

Candidates residing in AZ, NV, NE, IA, or MN must live at least 50 miles from the facility; candidates residing in CO, KS, or UT must live at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
