American Bin and Conveyor, LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Control Specialist to support our fabrication process by managing job data, material tracking, and production workflow. This role ensures accuracy in project setup, material requisitions, and job sequencing while assisting various departments in meeting production goals.

Create and manage project and production control jobs in Tekla, entering all customer and job-related information

Creates and monitors work orders, drawings, burn files, and nesting programs.

Organize job folders and sequence parts for efficient production flow

Identify all required parts from drawings and generate a Bill of Materials (BOM) for import

Gather and store necessary DXF and PDF files in designated job folders

Verify BOM accuracy, ensuring correct formatting and data integrity

Print and distribute fabrication drawings, labels, and barcodes for tracking

Manage requisitions for materials, structural steel, and purchased parts

Optimize material usage by nesting and combining plate materials efficiently

Route parts through appropriate production stages, including fit, weld, blast, paint, and assembly

Assign phase codes, finishes, and shipping routes for each component

Monitor piece tracking as parts move through fabrication and finishing processes

Assist with inventory allocation, shipping coordination, and checking in received parts

Analyzes and monitors raw material inventory.

Generate job status reports and assist with managing production progress

Provide support to the shop by pulling dimensions, answering technical questions, and locating/tagging parts for assembly and shipping

Experience with Tekla or similar project management and production control software

Experience with Excel, AutoCAD, Pronest, Inventor or similar engineering software a plus

Occasional exposure to shop environments, requiring awareness of safety protocols (e.g., wearing PPE such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots)
