Summary Description:
Operates multiple types of pneumatic and hydraulic tools for chipping, grinding, breaking, and cutting to remove all undesirable projections or surplus metal (fins, burrs, gates and risers) from iron castings.
Essential Functions:
Operate abrasive saw, hand grinder, belt grinder, portable pneumatic grinding tools, overhead hoist with lifting devices, and hydraulic cutters and breakers.
Help identify and prevent all incidences of high scrap.
Perform general housekeeping duties in the finishing area.
Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned by management.
Skills or Experience Required:
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Use of heavy pneumatic hand tools.
