Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Packaging Supervisor to lead our packaging team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring products are packaged safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards while supporting daily production goals.

Pay & Schedule
Training Schedule
- Monday-Wednesday during the training period.
- Transition to the regular Thursday-Saturday schedule beginning in August.
Regular Shift Options
- Thursday-Saturday Nights: 5:00 PM-5:30 AM
- Night Shift Differential: Additional $3.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop Packaging Operators and Shift Leads.
- Ensure packaging operations meet production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Enforce all safety policies, GMPs, sanitation procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor food safety and quality standards while partnering with the Quality team to implement improvements.
- Schedule employees to ensure efficient staffing and production coverage.
- Train and cross-train employees to support operational flexibility and reduce workplace injuries through job rotation.
- Perform and support all Packaging Operator and Shift Lead duties as needed.
- Oversee equipment startup, shutdown, cleaning, sanitation, and CIP procedures.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to maintain production flow and resolve operational issues.
- Manage packaging supply inventory and submit purchasing requests as needed.
- Complete ERP transactions, production records, and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Monitor department performance, support KPI achievement, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Conduct employee coaching, one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and corrective actions when necessary.
- Complete incident reporting and assist with injury and claim management.
- Lead shift handoff meetings, team meetings, and employee communications.
- Assist with department budgeting, equipment planning, and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, packaging, food production, or similar production environment.
- Previous leadership experience managing teams of 5 or more employees.
- Experience working with food safety programs, GMPs, sanitation practices, and quality systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP or manufacturing software systems.
- Oregon Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain).
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
- Experience safely handling industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitizers.
- Working knowledge of packaging equipment, preventative maintenance practices, and basic troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other production equipment.
- Perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Work in wet, humid, and noisy production conditions.
- Comfortable using computers and completing required documentation.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
