Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload freight, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following proper manual handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and time management.
- Handle various types of cargo such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, freight, and specialized equipment like forklifts or dump trucks when necessary.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, report any mechanical issues promptly, and maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo documentation.
- Deliver goods to multiple locations with professionalism, providing excellent customer service during drop-offs and pickups.
- Maintain compliance with all safety standards including hazardous materials regulations and FMCSA guidelines for commercial truck driving.
Experience
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks with a valid CDL A license.
- Demonstrated ability to handle various types of freight including hazardous materials, refrigerated cargo, flatbed loads, tankers, and roll-off or dump trucks.
- Familiarity with route planning using GPS navigation tools and knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures.
- Experience in load & unload operations with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and general trucking safety protocols.
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially involving route driving across urban or rural areas.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and operate equipment such as forklifts when required.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per week
