Canyon ABA
Student Analyst — Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork for BCBA Candidates
Student Analyst Program | Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens + All Five Boroughs | Part-Time | In-Home ABA Services
Pay: $30.00/hour (Direct Service & Supervision Work)
Clinical Program Work is unpaid (structured supervised fieldwork)
About This Role
Canyon ABA is a growing NYC practice built on a neuroaffirming, strengths-based approach to autism services. Our Student Analyst Program gives BCBA candidates real, hands-on experience across the full scope of BCBA work — alongside structured supervision and the concentrated fieldwork hours you need to certify.
This is not a traditional fieldwork placement. You will supervise and train RBTs in session, conduct assessments, develop clinical programs, and deliver direct therapy — well beyond what most programs offer. If you are serious about becoming a BCBA and want a placement that prepares you for the full role, this is it.
We serve children, teens, and adults 21+ across a diverse NYC caseload, primarily in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, with work across all five boroughs.
What You'll Be Working On
Your role is structured across three categories of work. A minimum of 5 hours per category per week is required (15 hours total). Additional hours are available in any category based on caseload availability and supervision capacity.
Direct Service — $30/hr, paid (Restricted Hours)
- Deliver individualized ABA therapy in-person with Canyon clients
- Run skill acquisition programs and collect accurate behavioral data
- Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA oversight
Supervision Work with Clients — $30/hr, paid (Unrestricted Hours)
- Supervise and train RBTs in-session
- Conduct assessments and observe clinical performance
- Provide structured feedback to RBTs under BCBA direction
Clinical Program Work — Unpaid, Remote (Unrestricted Hours)
- Update client programs and review progress data
- Prepare assessments and develop clinical materials
Supervised Fieldwork
- Up to 160 hours of supervised fieldwork per month with signed Monthly Fieldwork Verification Forms (M-FVFs)
- Fully compliant with current BACB requirements and the rule changes taking effect January 2027
- Individual and group supervision with an experienced BCBA — 100% covered by Canyon ABA
- Structured curriculum aligned to the 6th Edition BCBA Test Content Outline — not just hours, but integrated exam preparation
- Clinical training across a diverse NYC caseload: children, teens, and adults 21+
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a BACB-verified VCS Master's program and earning academic credit for fieldwork
- Active RBT certification, or willingness to obtain RBT certification within 30 days of start date
- NYC-based with reliable transportation to client homes across the boroughs
- Minimum 15 hours/week availability and a 6-month program commitment
- Alignment with neuroaffirming, strengths-based clinical values
- US work authorization
What to Know Going In
Canyon ABA serves clients with a range of support needs, including individuals with significant behavioral profiles. You will be working in client homes, not a clinic — which means variability, adaptability, and genuine clinical skill are required from day one.
This program is designed as a 6-month minimum commitment. Voluntary departure prior to 6 months may affect eligibility for the sign-on bonus, certification of supervised fieldwork hours not yet compiled, and eligibility for advancement to a Canyon ABA BCBA position upon certification.
If you lose enrollment in your VCS program, fail to obtain or maintain RBT certification, or fall below the 15-hour weekly minimum without written approval, your participation in the program may be modified, paused, or terminated.
