Job Description:
Infinite Heart Support Care Services is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Personal Support Caregiver to assist a client in the home and community setting. This position will begin on a very part-time basis, possibly one afternoon per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the client and family become comfortable with the support person.
The ideal candidate must be dependable, patient, gentle, and comfortable supporting an individual who is non-verbal and follows a very structured daily routine. Punctuality is extremely important, as the client’s schedule is time-sensitive and consistency is a key part of her care.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Providing personal support in the home setting
- Assisting with transfers in and out of bed, couch, and wheelchair
- Using a lift safely and appropriately
- Assisting with dressing and diaper changes
- Supporting a client who is non-verbal
- Monitoring for seizure-related concerns and following the family’s care instructions
- Maintaining a calm, respectful, and supportive environment
- Following the client’s schedule and routine closely
- Communicating professionally with the family and agency
Requirements:
- Must be a non-smoker
- Must arrive to shifts free from smoke odor or strong fragrance due to sensitivities in the home
- Experience supporting individuals who are non-verbal preferred
- Experience with lifts and transfers preferred
- Experience with seizures preferred
- Experience with personal care, diaper changing, and dressing preferred
- Must be punctual, dependable, and professional
- Must be patient, calm, and comfortable working in a structured environment
- Must be able to pass all required background screening and onboarding requirements
