Responsibilities
- Design and implement customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student goals.
- Deliver clear, engaging instruction in various math disciplines including geometry, trigonometry, differential equations, statistics, discrete math, and beyond.
- Utilize cutting-edge learning technology and digital resources to facilitate interactive lessons and reinforce concepts.
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and discussions; adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Support students with diverse needs by applying classroom management techniques and adapting lessons for special education or early childhood education contexts.
- Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages questions, curiosity, and active participation.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, or program coordinators to track progress and develop targeted improvement strategies.
Experience
- Proven experience working with students across various age groups, including children, teenagers, and adults.
- Strong background in mathematics with expertise in algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, data structures, differential equations, and discrete math.
- Experience developing curricula or lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and educational levels.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital tools used for remote or classroom tutoring.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for different educational settings including early childhood education and higher education environments.
- Prior experience in specialized fields such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, genetics or mechanical/electrical engineering is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively while maintaining an engaging teaching style. Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
