Job Overview
LightStone Law is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience to join our Business Practice Group. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a new or early-career attorney to develop sophisticated transactional skills while working directly with experienced attorneys and a diverse client base.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of business and commercial agreements
- Assist clients with business formation, governance, restructuring and dissolution matters
- Support mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, and other business transactions
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues
- Assist with entity maintenance, corporate governance, and compliance matters
- Participate in due diligence for business transactions
- Advise clients on day-to-day legal issues affecting closely held businesses and entrepreneurs
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, accountants, lenders, and other professionals
- Contribute to business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to provide comprehensive legal solutions
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Michigan Bar (or ability to obtain admission promptly)
- 0-5 years of experience in business, corporate, commercial, or transactional law
- Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts
- Exposure to corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance, or real estate transactions
- Experience working with closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, or family-owned companies
- Interest in developing client relationships and contributing to firm growth
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
