Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools, ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to accurately execute repairs or installations.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and mechanical repairs to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to repair or replace faulty components such as motors, fans, compressors, valves, and electrical wiring.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate HVAC system upgrades or new installations aligned with design specifications.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout service visits.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with construction experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems and electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and installation of HVAC systems including refrigeration units and boilers.
- Familiarity with plumbing practices related to HVAC applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and building automation systems is desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools, electrical diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, and equipment repair techniques.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications like HVAC/R or boiler licenses are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle is required.
- Mechanical or mechanic experience in property maintenance or appliance repair is beneficial.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
