Job Opening: Mozaik Drafting Specialist for Kitchen & Cabinet Manufacturing
A kitchen and custom cabinet manufacturing company is looking for an experienced drafting specialist who is highly proficient in Mozaik and can prepare accurate production drawings for cabinet fabrication.
Main Responsibilities: The specialist will be responsible for preparing technical documentation for the production of kitchens, cabinets, bathroom vanities, closets, built-ins, and other custom cabinetry.Responsibilities include:
- Creating and developing cabinet projects in Mozaik.
- Preparing detailed shop drawings for production.
- Creating cut lists, material lists, specifications, and production documents.
- Preparing CNC files when required.
- Reviewing dimensions, construction details, and project requirements before production.
- Working from field measurements, architectural plans, design drawings, sketches, and project specifications.
- Developing cabinet construction for kitchens, vanities, closets, wall panels, doors, fillers, decorative panels, and custom components.
- Accounting for hardware, hinges, drawer slides, pull-out systems, lift mechanisms, and other cabinet components.
- Coordinating with production, designers, project managers, and installers.
- Making revisions when project changes are required.
- Checking all documentation for accuracy before releasing projects to production.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of Mozaik.
- Proven experience drafting kitchens, cabinets, closets, vanities, and custom cabinetry.
- Solid understanding of cabinet manufacturing and assembly methods.
- Ability to read architectural plans, design drawings, and field measurements.
- Knowledge of cabinet construction, including base cabinets, wall cabinets, tall cabinets, panels, fillers, doors, drawers, and specialty components.
- Understanding of cabinet hardware, including hinges, drawer slides, lift systems, pull-out accessories, and other functional components.
- Ability to prepare accurate specifications, part lists, cut lists, and production documents.
- Strong attention to detail, dimensions, and technical accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented work style.
- CNC experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with custom cabinetry, face frame cabinets, frameless cabinets, inset doors, shaker-style cabinets, painted cabinetry, and high-end residential projects is a plus.
